Airport arrival: choose your route
Burgas Airport links to the city by bus 15/15A. From Burgas South, northbound buses run towards Nessebar and Sunny Beach; a local service completes the journey to Sveti Vlas. The exact airport stop depends on direction and service: some trips use the roundabout, others Terminal 2. Use the operator’s route page for your trip.
A booked transfer is useful with a late landing or luggage. Give the driver the full building address and obtain a total price before booking.

Published fare and a useful route example
Burgasbus publishes an onboard single city ticket of €0.80 from 1 January 2026. This is a city fare, not the total price to Sveti Vlas; intercity and local legs cost extra.
The northbound page lists South Bus Station, sector 3 → Sarafovo → Pomorie quarter → Aheloy → Ravda → Old Nessebar → Sunny Beach. Examples from Burgas include daily M-Bus departures at 09:30 and 11:30, and Di Es Bus at 10:10 and 10:50, as published when checked on 16 October 2026. A separate route goes via Kableshkovo and New Nessebar. Confirm your date, fare and local connection before travel; these examples are departures from Burgas, not airport or return times.

Local buses in Sveti Vlas
Di Es Bus at Sunny Beach bus station handles local timetable enquiries: +359 894 540 282, [email protected]. Ask for the Sveti Vlas stop closest to your address and the last return on your travel date. Routes 5 and 8 appear in the municipal winter file, but that PDF carries 2024 validity dates; use a current operator timetable for winter 2026.

Taxi or booked transfer: agree the full journey
The airport names Eko Taxi as its terminal taxi provider and publishes +359 879 241 641 and +359 878 443 576 for enquiries. Use the airport’s taxi page to reach the provider rather than assuming a price from a travel forum.
Request a written quote to the complete address. Include passenger and luggage numbers, arrival details and any mobility requirements. Ask whether waiting after a delayed flight, night arrival, luggage, parking and card payment are included. Confirm the meeting point and cancellation terms. A provider being listed by the airport establishes an enquiry route, not a guaranteed car or fare for your booking.

Make ordinary days and evenings work
For a first stay, test the trip you would repeat: your front door to the shop, local activity or Sunny Beach connection, then home again. Include the slope and pavement rather than measuring only road distance. A convenient arrival by taxi does not establish an easy daily routine without a car.
Plan evening returns before a restaurant or performance. The last bus may matter more than the outward journey. For nearby excursions, our car allowances start at central Sveti Vlas and include a planning margin: roughly 20–35 minutes for Old Nessebar, 35–50 for Pomorie and 50–70 for central Burgas. These are editorial estimates; summer traffic, exact origin and parking can add time. Buses and transfers require separate allowances.

Use a winter visit to test the practical fit
If you are considering year-round living, arrange at least some travel without a pre-booked car during your quieter-season visit. Ask the operator about the date you will actually travel, then try a daytime outing with a clear return plan. Keep a taxi enquiry contact saved for a missed connection.
Check whether the final walk is comfortable after dark and whether luggage or shopping changes your choice. Compare a few real journeys and transfer quotes before deciding whether you need a car. Add those costs to your household budget; no single fare or timetable can represent every season and address.
