I’m Matthias Zeitler. I’ve lived in Bulgaria for more than a decade and built communities for digital nomads in Bansko and Semkovo. Now I’m exploring what a community for later life and early retirement could look like on the Black Sea coast, starting with Sveti Vlas.

Black Sea Living follows that search. I want to find out whether an appealing coastal town can also offer a good everyday life with people who enjoy doing things together. This website is a starting point: a guide for your own visits and decisions. A coastal community is still something I am exploring.

How we put the guide together

The guide distinguishes official rules, advertised examples and planning assumptions. Source links appear beside the relevant sections, with a review date on each article. Services, prices and calendars can change; confirm the details that matter before booking or committing.

The English and German editions cover the same topics. Language choice does not determine your citizenship, pension source, tax treatment or eligibility for healthcare.
